As part of the "DLR_Startup Factory", we are stepping up support for spin-offs from the Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics. Our start-ups bring the results of research into application and thus onto the market. They are idea generators and innovation drivers. With products and services, they generate added value and contribute to solving societal challenges.

3D-Input

3D-Input develops miniaturized 3D-sensors used as input devices. A wide range of use comprises consumer electronics as well as industrial applications.

Agile Robots

Agile Robots AG combines artifical intelligence (AI) and robotics to facilitate safe human-robot interaction.

Blickfeld

Blickfeld develops and produces compact LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) sensors and software for environmental detection. The sensors are used in autonomous driving as well as in smart cities, industrial applications and security solutions.

Elektra Solar

Elektra Solar provides products, services and technologies for manned and unmanned solar-powered high altitude aircrafts with integrated control and robotics systems.

Kastanienbaum

Kastanienbaum addresses safe human machine intercation. It develops innovative software solutions for operation, programming, safety and control of robots.

Kinetik Space

KINETIK Space commercializes space robotic manipulation technology developed at DLR, and offers robotic arms, end effectors, docking solutions and motor drive units.

Kinfinity

Leverage Robotics was founded with headquarters in Munich and has set itself the task of transferring technologies from science to industry.

Roboception offers innovative solutions fpr navigation, real-time perception and manipulation solutions for robotic systems. Customer-specific software for industry and production is being developed on an individual basis.

RoboDrive

RoboDrives represent mechatronic drives with maximum torque and precision for industrial applications. In 2015 RoboDrive became part of TQ-Systems.

Sensodrive develops advanced drive components for own and customer-built applications. They focus on professional customer support and reliable service.

Tacterion

Tacterion markets tactile sensors in form of a polymer-based artificial skin. Applications arise in the field of Robotics, Medicine and Human-Machine-Interaction
