ROBEX moon analogue mission Sicily 2017

ROBEX moon analogue mission Sicily 2017
In June and July 2017, the Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics completed tests on the Etna volcano in Sicily as part of the Helmholtz Alliance Robex.
This video shows part of the lunar analogue mission. As part of the experiment, the rover drives to the lunar lander and uses the robotic arm to release the seismic instrument from its screw connection. The seismic instrument is then placed in a holding device on the rover and the rover drives to a predetermined point to place the seismometer on the ground. The seismometer then takes a measurement, is lifted again and moved autonomously by the robot to another point on the traverse and set down there.
