The Institute of Lightweight Systems Engineering pursues long-term innovations in the four strategic fields of Additive Composite Structures, From Overall Design to Certification, Digitalisation and Hydrogen. These strategic fields are addressed by the scientific departments from different perspectives and the knowledge generated is transferred to applications via the business areas. In addition to certified test laboratories, the institute maintains a comprehensive research infrastructure that enables the development, testing and maturation of technologies right through to the industrial environment. Our aim is to generate new knowledge in close cooperation with business partners and to transfer this knowledge to relevant market environments via our partners. We support our business partners as a reliable research partner from the idea to its realisation.
