Knowledge-exchange-workshop on machine learning
Artificial intelligence is the focus of the 5th Knowledge Exchange Workshop on Machine Learning. In Oberpfaffenhofen from December 3 to 5, the agenda includes a keynote address by Friedrich Fraunhofer, a numerous talks and scientific tutorials.
Organizers are the Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics and the Earth Observation Centre, which are already working together in the HAICU network to develop, implement and disseminate methods in AI, for example for the analysis of complex systems in the fields of climate, energy, transport or health. With almost 130 participants, this is one of the most popular DLR knowledge exchange workshops. "This great interest underlines the importance of the topic of artificial intelligence within DLR. It shows how versatile our work is, and that we have also gained a special position internationally in this area of expertise", said Rudolph Triebel from the Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics.
Knowledge exchange workshops (WAW) are interdisciplinary, cross-organizational workshop series for the long-term exchange of knowledge on an overarching topic to build or expand professional networks. The concept consists of identifying relevant topics and organising an initial workshop (kick-off workshop) for these. The participants then continue the knowledge exchange on their own initiative and with further support from knowledge management and other workshops.
