RM is partner in the new EU digital hub network DIH-HERO
On December 10, 2018, the Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics became a partner in the new EU Digital Hub Network DIH-HERO (Digital Innovation Hubs in Healthcare Robotics). Over the next four years, the network aims to create an independent platform that connects companies, research institutes, investors and other stakeholders. The goal is to encourage innovations and implementations of robotics in health care and to facilitate cooperation. Participants are supported in providing robotic products and services to various health care providers.
In total, the EU Commission will invest 16 million euros in DIH-HERO. The DIH-HERO project consortium, coordinated by the University of Twente, consists of 17 partners in 10 European countries.
RM has expertise in the health system in particular through the projects SMiLE, VITA, TACT_Hand, the MIRO Innovation Lab and SAPHARI, and is directing the work package on Engagement and Outreach.
