Acquisition technology

Acquisition technology is a key component of many DLR projects and plays a central role in the research and development of transport system technology. Our expertise covers a wide range of acquisition technologies that are used to collect and analyse precise data and information in a wide variety of application areas.

Data services

By means of DLR’s data service, we provide relevant traffic data and geodata about the transport infrastructure in Braunschweig. This includes highly accurate digital maps and the data basis for highly and fully automated driver assistance systems.

Communication technology

Research into V2X communication is an important step towards making traffic safer and more efficient in the long term – not least with regard to the development of automated driving assistants.

ITS-Labor

The laboratory for traffic light control and technology offers an ideal test environment. It enables tests of new technologies and processes both in the laboratory and in real road traffic. As part of the Intelligent Mobility Platform, it combines simulation and field tests for future mobility solutions.
