Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg - Hamburg Aviation Research Programme

The Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg has been supporting the expansion of the network between industry and science with this programme, which has been running since 2001.

There are currently no open calls for funding opportunities in the field of aviation in this programme. However, you are welcome to find out about the latest calls for funding below and contact our staff. We will then inform you as soon as new calls for funding for aeronautics research in Hamburg are available.

Targeted support measures are intended to incentivise the aviation and equipment industry based in Hamburg to increase its efforts in the development of new technologies.

The continuation of the programme in the period 2006 to 2010 is coordinated with the ongoing funding initiative for the leading-edge cluster "Aviation Cluster Hamburg Metropolitan Region".

Programme status

In the formal application and approval process, a total of 50 projects with a volume of 26.9 million euros were approved in the Hamburg Aviation Research Programme 2006-2010. The process has been completed, with the exception of supplementary projects for the overall objective. The projects extended over the following years until 2013.

The Project Management Agency for Aviation Research is responsible for preparation and implementation.
