Heterodyne Spectroscopy Team

The Heterodyne Spectroscopy Group in the Department of Terahertz and Laser Spectroscopy works on the development of instruments and methods for high-resolution THz spectroscopy based on mm-wave electronic sources and lasers. Our focus is on high-resolution spectroscopy with terahertz quantum-cascade lasers for airborne and space borne platforms. Another focus is on breath gas analysis with THz and mm-wave sources. We have been further involved in the development and operation of the GREAT heterodyne receiver onboard of the SOFIA observatory.
