Mission orientation is a key element of the Institute's professional and strategic focus. We understand this to mean an orientation towards major, socially relevant tasks, which we work on from the basics through to technology demonstration and technology transfer. Our declared aim is to demonstrate new solutions for the first time and to push the boundaries of what is technically feasible as far as possible.
We thus combine in-depth work on scientifically challenging issues with the transfer of our results into actual applications. In this way, we make significant contributions to the fulfillment of our missions.
