The receiver and transmitter systems group develops platform systems for interference and spoofing-proof navigation and communication systems.

In view of the growing number and dependence on satellite navigation services and the ease with which conventional receiver systems can be disrupted, the group of receiver and transmitter systems provides important key technologies for increasing the reliability and security of these systems. These are of particular importance in the growing markets of fully automated driving and flying.

One focus of the current work is the development and validation of interference resilient satellite navigation receivers for governmental and security-critical applications, especially in the field of civil aviation, as well as for safety critical infrastructures and governmental tasks. A core competence is space and time adaptive technologies for the reliable detection and suppression of interference signals with group antennas. The receiver and transmitter systems group covers the area after the antenna up to the real-time software. The work is closely linked to the antennas and receiver algorithms groups.

Another focus is the development of high-speed, interference resilient communication systems. A core competence is retrodirective antennas.

The receiver and transmit systems group is member of the EU-U.S. Cooperation on satellite navigation in Working Group C.
