SaiNSOR
The aim of the SaiNSOR project is to develop basic technologies and methods and to translate them into concrete measurement systems for cross-program applications. The main objective is the close integration of sensor technology and data processing with artificial intelligence (AI) methods. MF-PBA's main task within the project is to develop, implement and evaluate deep learning-based approaches for onboard information extraction from aerial imagery. The focus is on the detection of cars and people and the segmentation of roads and buildings in real time on board of a drone, helicopter or aircraft. The interface will be developed in close collaboration with the Institute of Optical Sensor Systems (OS) and the Institute of Flight Systems (FT). The methods will be tested using the 4k (MF-PBA) and MACS (OS) camera systems.
