The Earth Observation Center (EOC) closely cooperates with universities, not only with respect to research, but also education. We invite young scientists to work with us at DLR in Oberpfaffenhofen and Neustrelitz or at the endowed chairs at the University of Würzburg and Munich Technical University (TUM).
Internship
Please submit your application to us,
- The minimum duration of the internship is 6 weeks
- You will be working “on the job” in current projects
- Make sure that your email application includes the following items: the time frame preferred, your pre-knowledge, and your fields of interest.
Master's thesis
The subject of the thesis is defined to accord with recent research emphases. Preferred branches of study are geography, geology, geophysics, cartography, physics, meteorology, mathematics, and informatics. Expertise in video and animation technology is requested for work in the Science Communication and Visualization Department.
Remote Sensing working group at Würzburg University
DFD closely cooperates with the endowed chair for Remote Sensing in the Institute of Geography. Supplementary to the regular study of geography, candidates also have an opportunity to work there as trainees, toward their PhD, or as “Jungwissenschaftler” (junior scientists).
Endowed chair for Methodology of Remote Sensing at Munich Technical University (TUM)
IMF has close ties to the endowed chair for Methodology of Remote Sensing at Munich Technical University (TUM). Supplementary to the regular study of geography, candidates also have an opportunity to work there as trainees, toward their PhD, or as “Jungwissenschaftler” (junior scientists).
Job openings
The Earth Observation Center (EOC) recruits student research assistants, junior scientists and scientific staff for current research work and projects. These jobs are of limited duration. Salaries scales are in accordance with those of the German civil service (TVöD).
