PASODOBLE - The GMES Downstream Service Project for Air Quality
PASODOBLE develops local and regional air quality services to provide information for the public, people at risk, tourism, sports and health authorities. PASODOBLE also provides information and consultancy services in support of political decision-making by local and regional authorities.
User-driven and sustainable air quality services are being developed, demonstrated and evaluated in more than 35 regions and cities. Since air quality is a transnational problem with local sources, PASODOBLE combines local action with European cooperation and harmonization. PASODOBLE contributes to improving the quality of life in Europe by raising awareness and enhancing the quality of information on air pollutants and preventive measures, thereby reducing health costs and mortality.
PASODOBLE was being realized by a consortium of 21 partners and is coordinated by DLR. The project was running from 2010 to 2013.
