AC SAF

The mission of the AC SAF project is to produce atmospheric composition products with validated quality for the EUMETSAT Member States.

AC SAF is part of the EUMETSAT distributed ground segment and thus acts as an important data provider for the Global Earth Observation System of Systems (GEOSS). DLR is involved in the AC SAF project from the very beginning. In the current project phase CDOP-4, DLR continues to provide operational GOME-2 NRT and offline products to allow long-term monitoring of the atmosphere and data continuation for users. At the same time, DLR is developing atmospheric products for the next generation instruments Sentinel-4 and Sentinel-5 to further enhance the EUMETSAT product portfolio.
