Cozzarelli Prize for EOC scientist

For his contribution to the AI-assisted detection of Nazca geoglyphs with remote sensing, Conrad M Albrecht, DLR scientist and Visiting Associate Professor at Yamagata University, Japan was honored with the 2024 Cozzarelli Prize.
The work was carried out by an international team lead by Yamagata University, Japan in collaboration with the IBM TJ Watson Research Center, NY, USA. Since 2005 the prize is awarded annually by the National Academy of Sciences to six teams for excellent and innovative work.
