Optical Tracking
Optical tracking describes the (semi-) automatic process of tracking a specific object using optical information.
An optical tracking system is available at the National Test Center for Unmanned Aircraft Systems. The system consists of two stationary units and a mobile unit, which can be freely positioned. Depending on the accuracy requirements, they can be used individually or in combination to determine the position. The system enables tracking in the visible and infrared range. It is also possible to track aircraft using position data.
