ROboMObil (ROMO) - The robotic electric vehicle
The ROMO is a unique DLR research vehicle. It serves as a technology demonstrator and research platform for space and transport projects relating to autonomous driving, driving dynamics, control technology and artificial intelligence. The world's first robotic electric vehicle can turn on its own axis, move sideways and at an angle. This is made possible by so-called wheeled robots with 10 electric motors.
