EOEPCA+ Building Blocks

ESA's EO Exploitation Platform Common Architecture serves to evolve, develop and operate generic standards and interoperable building blocks enabling re-use, consolidation and harmonization of federated EO cloud platforms.

Telespazio UK on behalf of ESA is subcontracting developers to join an cross-company development work team.

DLR's solution is built around existing and proven open-source components for data discovery, access, and visualization based on eoAPI, pycsw, View Server, titiler and stac-fastapi, which are already used and operated by large EO exploitation platforms, such as DLR's terrabyte platform, ESA-NASA Multi-Mission Algorithm Analysis Platform, and Microsoft Planetary Computer.

In addition, DLR is participating in the development of the Identity and Access Management (IAM) building block on behalf of Werum Software & Systems AG, which will serve as the basis for the modernization of the EOC User Management System (UMS).

DLR and consortia have been awarded the contract to lead the development of the following open-source building blocks:
Resource Discovery, Data Access, Data Cube Access, Resource Registration, Workspace, Identity & Access Management
