DLR celebrates a new book release: "Remote Sensing in Urban Areas"

The German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Oberpfaffenhofen has celebrated a new book release on the 31st of August 2010: "Remote sensing in Urban Areas: Earth Observation on its way to planning practice" published by Wissenschaftliche Buchgesellschaft Darmstadt. The editors are DLR-scientists Dr. Hannes Taubenböck and Professor Dr. Stefan Dech from the German Remote Sensing Data Center (DFD). The preambles of Christian Ude, the mayor of Munich and DLR-chief executive officer Professor Dr. Johann-Dietrich Wörner underline the vision of the new definitive book – a common future for urban planning and earth observation.
