Location & getting there

The Institute is located in the Augsburg Innovationspark in the south of Augsburg. The location is easily accessible and also close to Munich.

Arrival by car

A8

Exit the motorway A8 at "Augsburg-West" towards "Landsberg am Lech" (B17). Exit the B17 at "Haunstetten-Nord". Turn right and follow "Bürgermeister-Ulrich-Straße" for approximately 300 m. Then turn left into the street "Am Technologiezentrum".

A96

Exit the motorway A96 at "Landsberg am Lech-West" towards "Landsberg am Lech-West/Augsburg" (B17). Exit the B17 at "Haunstetten-Nord". Turn left and follow "Bürgermeister-Ulrich-Straße" for approximately 300 m. Then turn left into "Am Technologiezentrum".

Arrival by train and public transport

Tramway No. 3 (direction "Haunstetten West") takes you from "Augsburg Central Station" ("Augsburg-Hauptbahnhof") or "Augsburg Haunstetterstraße" to the TZA. Get off at the tram stop "Innovationspark/LfU". The building is right beside the tram stop.

Arrival by plane

From Munich Airport

Take the urban railway No. 1 ("S-Bahn") to Munich Central Station. Then take the train to Augsburg. From Augsburg "Central Station" ("Hauptbahnhof") or "Haunstetterstraße" continue by public transport (see above). Travel time is about 120 minutes.

It’s recommended to rent a car at Munich Airport. Travel time is about 60 minutes.
