The heatbrAIn team has set itself the goal of accelerating the heating transition with precise data and models. To this end, planning offices, heat suppliers and local authorities are provided with reliable, geo-referenced basic data for any area in Germany - high quality, fast and yet customised to individual needs and interfaces. Building on the research work of the founding team at the Institute of Solar Research, the spin-off has developed software that can be used to largely automate the assessment of municipal heating plans, neighbourhood projects or heating network conversions. The offer includes not only the rapid provision of data, but also the option of continuously refining the database. As the project progresses, customers can contribute additional knowledge about the area and thus achieve even better modelling results.
