SolarPACES is one of several Technology Collaboration Programmes (TCP) organized in a framework of the International Energy Agency (IEA). Its annual conference claims to be the world's leading event in the field of concentrating solar thermal technology.

In this year's host country Italy, tradition meets modern innovation, not only in architecture but also in the energy sector. Italy's first demonstration plant for concentrated solar power (CSP), the Archimede plant, was inaugurated in 2010. It was the first to utilize molten salt for both heat transfer and storage in a parabolic trough system. In 2023, Italy saw the operation of its first commercial CSP plant, with more projects currently in advanced stages of construction or commissioning.

As in the previous years, the conference provides an excellent opportunity to explore the latest projects, research developments, and emerging market trends.
