The laboratory is used for electrical tests and as interconnection room for the EM and QM level hardware as well as for the flight hardware as long as there are no restrictions with respect to cleanroom requirements to be applied. In the laboratory, field programmable gate arrays (FPGA) are programmed and the FPGA and other components are prepared for assembly (cut and bend). These procedures are documented in the logsheets of the test hardware. The laboratory is also used for temperature tests of hardware and single components as well as sensors, provided no cleanroom requirements are applicable.
