Cooperation opportunities

The Institute of Planetary Research carries out a multitude of projects in cooperations with internal and external partners. Cooperations are generally considered with regard to objectives, resource requirements, budgets, and schedules. The schedules of industrial projects and technology studies mostly cover 2 or 3 years. Scientific projects involving deep-space missions have a much longer duration – up to 10 or 20 years. Due to its manifold competences as well as the quality and relevance of its scientific work, the institute is a much-sought-after partner in international projects. The institute cooperates with other DLR institutes, scientific research institutions, universities and industrial companies worldwide. An overview of the main cooperation partners is described below.
