1-2 April 2025 - Hamburg

Symposium "Architecting Future Aviation"

At the international symposium Architecting Aviation, the DLR flagship projects EXACT and ALICIA will be presented together for the first time. The DLR Institute of Air Transport will also contribute key topics. We look forward to exchanging ideas on fleet models and forecasts, the use of climate-compatible technologies, and requirements for airport infrastructure.

7-9 May 2025 - Warsaw

Aerodays 2025

At Aerodays 2025, the leading conference on aviation research and innovation, the DLR Institute of Air Transport will represent the Alliance for Zero-Emission Aviation (AZEA), Working Group 1, in a panel of the European Commission and discuss the key challenges related to the introduction of electric and hydrogen flights.

20-21 May 2025 - Berlin

GARS Junior Workshop 2025

The DLR Institute of Air Transport will host the GARS Junior Workshop in Berlin on 20th and 21st May 2025. The workshop offers early-career researchers in the fields of air transport, economics, and sustainability the opportunity to present their ongoing or completed research, receive valuable feedback, and network with experts and fellow researchers. The event will be held in collaboration with international partners.

21-25 July 2025 - Las Vegas

2025 AVIATION Forum

The 2025 AVIATION Forum is held under the theme Navigating the Future: Sustainability, Safety, and Innovation and highlights key developments for a sustainable, safe, and innovative aviation industry. The focus is on new propulsion systems, climate-compatible technologies, and requirements for aviation infrastructure. At the forum, we will contribute with a presentation on supersonic flight and its impact on the surrounding environment.

1-3 September 2025 - Edinburgh

27th EWGT 2025

The DLR Institute of Air Transport will present several contributions from its Air Transport Management and Air Transport Economics departments at the 27th Annual Conference of the Euro Working Group on Transportation (EWGT). The conference focuses on the application of operations research methods, mathematical models, and algorithms to the analysis and planning of transport systems. It provides a platform for the exchange of innovative solutions and ideas to promote efficient, sustainable, and equitable transport systems.
