History
The Institute of Space Systems was founded in 2007.
In 2008, the institute moved into the DLR main building with laboratories and offices at Robert-Hooke-Str. 7 in Bremen.
At the end of August 2011, the institute opened the newly constructed laboratory building, which is connected to the main building by a passageway. Further unique DLR research facilities were created here. They offer both DLR-internal and external customers resources to conduct research on a larger scale.
