Small Aircraft Technology
More environmentally friendly technologies must be developed for air transport in order to enable quiet, emission-free flight in the future.
DLR energy and transport research from NRW was a guest in Berlin. Alongside the Innovation Centre for Small Aircraft Technologies (INK) and the Institute of Aerospace Medicine, our Solar Fuels exhibit also made a stop in Berlin on its summer roadshow.
At the NRW Fest in the state representation, researchers from the institute explained our research approaches to renewable and solar-produced fuels to interested guests from politics and society. Possible applications of synthetic fuels for contributing to the energy transition include air, sea and long-distance transport as well as industry.
Interesting discussions continued late into the night, including with NRW Minister President Hendrik Wüst and Mona Neubaur, Minister for Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Action and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.
We would like to thank you for the exciting exchange and a great event as part of the ongoing dialogue between NRW top-level research and politics.
