Sustainable high-temperature thermoelectric generators: a look behind the scenes

Working with Thermoelectric Functional Materials - A look behind the scenes

The “Thermoelectric Materials and Systems” department develops materials and systems for energy conversion. In this video, we give you a glimpse into our lab and show the entire process from material to component, including some of the challenges we faced in developing novel magnesium silicide-based thermoelectric generators. These are promising for waste heat recovery applications and are made from lightweight and highly available starting elements.

Have fun, and don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions!
