Location & getting there

From Berlin Central Station (total journey time approximately 40 minutes)

• Take the suburban railway (S-Bahn) S9 in the direction of BER Airport Terminal 1-2 to Adlershof station
• Turn onto Rudower Chaussee. The institute is located to the left (approximately 250 metres)

or:

• Take the S-Bahn S3 (direction Erkner), S5 (direction Strausberg Nord) or S7 (direction Ahrensfelde) to Ostkreuz station
• Take the S-Bahn S8 (direction Zeuthen), S85 (direction Grünau) or S9 (direction Schönefeld Airport) to Adlershof station
• Turn onto Rudower Chaussee, the institute is on the left-hand side (approximately 250 metres)

From Berlin-Südkreuz (total journey time approximately 30 minutes)

• Take the S-Bahn S45 (direction Flughafen BER Terminal 1-2) or S46 (direction Königs Wusterhausen) to Adlershof station
• Turn onto Rudower Chaussee, the institute is on the left-hand side (approximately 250 metres)

By car

A10 motorway (from Hamburg, Hanover, Leipzig, Nuremberg, and Munich)

• Take the Berlin ring road from the A10 motorway
• At the Schönefelder Kreuz motorway junction, take the A113 ane take the Adlershof/Wegedornstraße exit
• Turn right onto Ernst-Ruska-Ufer and after 750 metres turn left onto North-Willys-Straße
• Turn right at Rudower Chaussee
• The Institute of Transport Research is on the right-hand side

A13 Motorway (coming from Dresden)

• Change to the A113 motorway at Schönefelder Kreuz, take the Adlershof/Wegedornstraße exit
• Continue from the third point under A10 motorway

Parking information

There are no car parks available. A parking space is only available for people with reduced mobility in the underground car park by prior arrangement.

• The nearest multi-storey car park is located at Albert-Einstein-Str. 1 (second entrance for short-term parking)
• It is also possible to use Kaufland’s multi-storey car park located diagonally opposite (two hours free of charge, Rudower Chaussee 12, entrance in Groß-Berliner-Damm)

By air

From Berlin Brandenburg Airport (total journey time approximately 20 minutes)

• From the S Flughafen BER Terminal 1-2 stop, take bus X7 (direction U Rudow via BER Terminal 5) to the Flughafen BER - Terminal 5 stop. Then take bus 164 (direction S Köpenick) to the bus stop Walter-Nernst-Straße
• Walk down Rudower Chaussee for approximately 250 metres in the same direction, the Institute for Transport Research is on the right-hand side
