Responsive Space – Research of resillient space infrastructure
"Responsive Space Capabilities" refers to the responsive provision of space-based services to adapt to changing needs in space infrastructure. The Center for Responsive Satellite Deployment (RSC³) is building a technological foundation within the context of "Responsive Space" and conducting related technology demonstrations to make future space infrastructure more resilient. The RSC³ organization reflects the segments of a holistic space system. It addresses research focuses on the timely and resilient availability of ground control centers, launch systems, and orbiting platforms through its three departments: the Launch Segment, Ground Segment, and Space Segment. A cross-sectional department, Technology Demonstration, showcases the implementation of concepts from these segments through missions. The facility is headquartered at the DLR site in Trauen.
