At the invitation of Colonel Böge, the commander of the Northern Department of the Air Force Technical Training Center (TAusbZLw Abt Nord), the employees of the Competence Center for Rapid Reaction Satellite Deployment (RSC³) were on an information visit "to our neighbors on the other side of the fence".
This was the first step towards regional cooperation around the municipality of Faßberg. On the morning of September 15, we boarded a "green" bus for a full-day program of visits that was as varied as the training center itself. We were given insights into interesting areas such as "Metalworking and materials technology training", "CH-53 helicopter and augmented reality", "Training workshop and virtual engine stand" and "POL (petroleum, oil and liquid) training and fuels laboratory". After the tour, we were invited to share our experiences with the training staff, which we were of course very happy to do. The visit to TAusbZLw Abt Nord showed us some interfaces with the DLR's research areas, and we want to work more closely together in the future. The return visit to the RSC³ at the Trauen site is of course already planned for spring 2023.
