The German Aerospace Center (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt; DLR) Air Transportation Systems pursues a whole-system approach. Before new driver assistance systems are tested on the road, investigations must first be carried out into their psychological effect on drivers. To complete these investigations, cooperative systems undergo multi-driver simulations in MoSAIC (Modular and Scalable Application Platform for Intelligent Transportation System Components) – a cooperative simulation environment for the development and evaluation of assistance systems for road vehicles.
