Diversity Management
The German Aerospace Center (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt; DLR), Germany's largest engineering and science research institution, employs approximately 10,000 people from almost 100 countries.
DLR attaches great importance to the right framework conditions and a good and appreciative working environment. Employees in their diversity are given fair opportunities, modern career paths and flexible working models. DLR aims to achieve a good work-life balance.
Our staff are treated fairly, regardless of gender, nationality, ethnicity or social background, religion or ideology, disability, age, sexual orientation and identity. To demonstrate this internally and externally, DLR signed the Diversity Charter in 2014 – an initiative for more diversity in the workplace. Since 2004, DLR has regularly been awarded the TOTAL E-QUALITY award for its exemplary equal opportunities-oriented human resources policy.
