New vehicle concepts, as well as innovative interior designs, are key factors in the development of future road vehicles. For this purpose, the German Aerospace Center (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt; DLR) Air Transportation Systems has created a modular mockup as part of the Application Platform for Intelligent Mobility (AIM). This fully configurable test platform is the ideal tool for fundamental research into human-machine interfaces and ergonomics, as well as acceptance research and pre-production development investigations. The modular mockup can be adapted quickly and cost-effectively to satisfy specific research requirements.
