Video: MASON/Concrete Hardening experiment: researching concrete in space; reducing emissions on Earth
Concrete is one of the most important building materials on Earth. Its process chain ranges from the extraction of sand and the production of cement to the pouring of the liquid concrete. Given the large amounts of concrete that are produced worldwide each year, individual steps can often have a huge impact on the climate. Research is therefore being conducted into concrete at many points in the process chain with a view to reducing the climate impact.
