SAF (HEFA)
In the case of HEFA, the cyclic hydrocarbons (aromatics) and sulphur, which form soot during combustion, are absent. The reduction of aromatics reduces soot formation. As a result, fewer ice crystals – and thus fewer clouds – form in the atmosphere during flights with SAFs.
