Prof. Dr phil. Katharina Utesch takes over as Head of the Department of Aerospace Psychology in Hamburg
- New Head of the Department of Aerospace Psychology at the DLR Institute of Aerospace Medicine
Prof. Dr phil. Katharina Utesch has taken up the position of Head of Department of Aerospace Psychology at the DLR Institute of Aerospace Medicine in conjunction with a W2 professorship at the University of Lübeck. She is looking forward to her new tasks:
"I am delighted to be taking on these new tasks as Head of the Department of Aerospace Psychology. As a psychologist with a doctorate, I have spent the past ten years at the University of Münster working in research and teaching in the fields of psychological diagnostics and personality psychology. I can now put this into practice at DLR. The department in Hamburg has held a leading international position in aerospace psychology for many years and offers a great opportunity to make an important contribution to safety and the preservation of human health and performance in high-performance contexts. For me, the further development and expansion of collaborations with industry and key players in aviation, aerospace, transport and neighbouring fields are of central importance. At the same time, we will continue our diverse research activities in order to generate relevant knowledge, enable evidence-based technology transfer and always have our finger on the pulse in terms of application."
