KNIMS: Competence network for immobilisation-related muscle disorders

KNIMS Annual Conference: Competence network for immobilisation-related muscle disorders

In the Network Immobilization-Related Muscle Disorders (KNIMS), we research and treat muscle disorders caused by immobilization. With the annual conference of KNIMS, we bring together practising physicians and scientists and offer a platform for the exchange of information on the diagnosis and treatment of immobilization-related muscle disorders.

Muscle atrophy and weakness are of growing importance in medicine. In many cases, lack of exercise and training measures are among the causes. The aim of the KNIMS network and its events is to connect clinicians working in science and practice with basic researchers and to provide a platform for exchange.
