Floating all-terrain vehicle
During the technology demonstration on 25 June 2024, the AHEAD project team successfully tested how the SHERP vehicle floats under remote control. This capability is important for future aid and rescue operations in the event of flooding, for example when currents are too dangerous for people and boats. During the exercise here, researchers were on board the vehicle, which was still being remotely controlled, for monitoring purposes.
