Cooperation with Canadian research institution strengthened
Germany and Canada have been working together successfully in science and technology for five decades – now new collaborations have been established. The German Aerospace Center (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt; DLR) and the National Research Council Canada (NRC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The declaration is valid for seven years.
"We want to continue the excellent and long-standing cooperation in the field of aeronautics research and add other topics, for example mobility and energy," says Anke Kaysser-Pyzalla, Chair of the DLR Executive Board. "NRC is an important and strategic international partner."
Anke Kaysser-Pyzalla and NRC President Mitch Davies presented the new agreement at a virtual event on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of German-Canadian scientific and technological cooperation. As a government institution, the NRC supports industrial as well as scientific research in Canada.
