To test the suit­abil­i­ty of PHAROS, the DLR sci­en­tists went to Spain. For­est fires are one of the most dan­ger­ous sit­u­a­tions. To­geth­er with the lo­cal emer­gen­cy ser­vices, a con­trolled for­est fire was ig­nit­ed and then stud­ied with PHAROS.
