German Antarctic Receiving Station GARS O’Higgins
The GARS (German Antarctic Receiving Station) O'Higgins Antarctic Station was founded in 1991. The white buildings and the nine-metre antenna of the DLR Antarctic Station are located in the direct vicinity of the Chilean Antarctic Base General Bernardo O'Higgins. The DLR station has been operating for 25 years and is staffed throughout the year by a small team.
