The telescope of the Transportable Optical Ground Station (TOGS) operated by the DLR Institute of Communications and Navigation can be deployed in a range of scenarios. Data links with aircraft, UAVs and satellites are just a few examples. The transportable telescope can also be used in emergency situations when real-time information needs to be transmitted to rescue forces on the ground.
