This graphic, produced by the German Aerospace Center (DLR), shows how the Sun illuminated the Philae lander on 13 December 2014. This information is important to check possible images of Philae on its landing site. In this case, the area in blue shows the solar panels that would be illuminated by the Sun. Philae would also be seen as a few bright pixels.
