Third extra-vehicular activity during the Columbus mission
During the third extra-vehicular activity of the Columbus mission, NASA astronauts Stanley Love and Rex Walheim (not in the picture) installed several experiments on the outside of the ISS.

In the EuTEF (European Technology Exposure Facility) experiment, different organisms are exposed to the extreme environmental conditions of space in order to research their chances of survival. During the experiments, nine in total, the intensity and composition of cosmic radiation will also be measured.

In the SOLAR Observatory experiment, the Sun will be observed over a period of two years.
