The external tank is lowered toward the solid rocket boosters
In the Vehicle Assembly Building at NASA's Kennedy Space Center, the external tank is lowered toward the solid rocket boosters on the mobile launcher platform below. After mating, the boosters-tank configuration will be used on space shuttle Atlantis for mission STS-122, which is targeted for launch on 6 December 2007.
