Guided tour of DLR-site Cologne
The German Aerospace Center (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt; DLR) in Cologne offers interested groups the opportunity to learn more about DLR and its research weekly, from Wednesday to Friday at 10:00 CET or 14:00 CET, by appointment. The tours are free of charge and last approximately three hours. Upon request, the tour can also be conducted in English.
The group should have a minimum size of 10 and a maximum size of 28 people. Young people under the age of 16 can unfortunately not be admitted. In this case, we recommend a visit to the DLR_School_Labs.
After a brief general introduction to DLR, our specially trained guides will present the following institutes and facilities:
- DLR Institute of Aerospace Medicine (DLR-Institut für Luft- und Raumfahrtmedizin)
- DLR Institute of Solar Research (DLR-Institut für Solarforschung)
- European Astronaut Centre (Europäisches Astronautenzentrum; EAC)
- Microgravity User Support Centre for space experiments (Nutzerzentrum für Weltraumexperimente; MUSC)
The guided tours offered by DLR must in no way be involved with any commercial activity or offer. DLR reserves the right to make changes to the programme or to reschedule visits at any time if internal procedures so require. DLR will of course inform any groups affected by rescheduling as early as possible. Registration does not entitle groups in any way to be given a guided tour in a specific form or on a specific date. In this respect, DLR wishes to emphasise that any costs that may be incurred as a consequence, such as cancellation fees etc., cannot be refunded.
