Departments

The Institute of Aerodynamics and Flow Technology is organized into ten departments, with three joint departments located at the two sites in Braunschweig and Göttingen and one department located in Cologne. The work of the departments is primarily focused on the development of methods for sustainable industrial application in analysis and design as well as the large-scale demonstration of new ideas, processes and technologies. In our function as a link between basic university research and industrial application, the scientific expertise of our specialist departments flows into an international network of research and industry.
