Neustrelitz
At DLR's Neustrelitz site, research and development work focuses on satellite data reception, satellite remote sensing, navigation, space weather as well as maritime transport and maritime safety. About 110 employees work at the German Remote Sensing Data Center (DFD), the Remote Sensing Technology Institute (IMF), the Institute of Communications and Navigation and the Institute for Solar-Terrestrial Physics.
As part of its efforts to promote young scientists, DLR also operates a DLR_School_Lab Neustrelitz on site. As in all DLR_Shool_Labs, exciting hands-on experiments that impart physics knowledge while also showing that science and technology can be fun.
