Projects for Studies and Promotion

DLR-DAAD-Schoarships

Young scientists from abroad can apply for scholarships at DLR. The DLR and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) are recruiting more foreign scientists for Germany. To this end, the two organisations have launched the joint scholarship programme "DLR-DAAD Research Fellowships".

DLR Design Challenge

Use your own ideas to take aeronautical engineering in new directions and develop designs for efficient, low-emission and climate-friendly aircraft during your studies. This is the challenge that DLR has been presenting to students across Germany since 2017. Each year, the DLR Design Challenge focuses on a different subject area.

Above the clouds: the flying lecture theatre

Since 2005, the Flight Operations Centre in Oberpfaffenhofen has been offering aerospace students and budding atmospheric scientists the opportunity to complete flight internships. In cooperation with universities and colleges, a concept has been developed to provide students with live test flight experience.
